Beat your drum.
This framed weaving is constructed out of an eclectic marrying of at least ten types of fibers. Included are, wools, cottons, art yarns, recycled sari silks, and vintage laces.
The wooden frame was sanded using a Dremel tool. Initially, the intent was just to sand it down to repaint it. Then as the wood became exposed, it was apparent the natural state of the frame was the right one. It has been unevenly sanded for a textured finish.
Hanging hardware (sawtooth hanger) has been installed for your decorating ease and pleasure. Weavings require minimal care. Dust occasionally with fabric friendly methods and snip away any unwanted shag.
'Herald' has a sister piece, 'Broadcast', that is available in my shop. They are being sold individually but also as a set until either sells. The frames are just about identical aside from the organic discrepancies that occurred during sanding them down.
