This original piece of fiber art was created 'en plein air' during the local music and arts festival in our town, Canandaigua, NY. The hustle and movement of the festival created the dynamic, buzzing represented in the artwork.
What message do you have to share? What does your original voice sound like within the choir?
POLLINATOR measures 14" in diameter. The weaving is constructed within a vintage embroidery hoop adding to the uniqueness of the overall piece and distinct visual appeal achieved with the 1" depth of the hoop.
At ToolBoxEarth, all the weavings offered are constructed by hand using recycled materials.
Woven materials include vintage lace, cotton fabrics, recycled sari ribbon purchased Fair Trade from India, yarns made from acrylic blends, wool, and a variety of fibers.
The majority of the materials used are purchased from our local craft resale shop, Crafts Bits and Pieces. They are a volunteer run, non-profit ensuring access to independent living to the elderly in the community and are an absolute joy to support.
Your new weaving will be lovingly packed and shipped using recycled materials. Hanging hardware has been attached to ensure POLLINATOR has a smooth, easy transition into your heart and home. Free shipping is included for domestic patrons.
When we serve each other, we serve ourselves.
Treat yourself to a slice of our collective whole.
