materials include:
-bike rim border from working bikes
-deconstructed cotton/misc fabrics from the wasteshed
-upholstery/blanket edging
all materials are deconstructed by hand then reconstructed into the artwork shown here. the spokes of the bike rim are removed by hand. all the fabrics are ripped/cut by hand. in-house.
measures 24ish" in diameter,
the bike rim showss rust and other signs of distress.
these elements add a feeling of longevity.
a fabric strip has been securely attached to the back of the original art work as hanging hardware.
